Abuzar Zarei
My kind brother was 38 years old and the father of two children: Amirhossein, 12 years old, and little Delara, only 2. They are still waiting for their father to come home from work, just as he always did, so they can run into his arms and take away the weariness of his day. Our elderly mother and father have been left devastated by the loss of their son. Since his passing, day and night have become one in their grief.

Incident summary
On the night of 19 Dey, my brother, my son, another brother, his daughter, and I went to the protest together. At first, everything was calm. The crowd was enormous—far larger than anyone had expected for a town like ours. We were standing in front of the police station when the clashes began. Eventually, the authorities cut off the electricity, and live ammunition was fired at us. Right before my eyes, my brother was struck and lost his life.
Memorial narrative
We seek justice for the blood of our loved ones. We neither forgive nor forget. They broke one branch, but from that very branch, countless new shoots will grow.
