He loved sports, especially football and volleyball, and married the woman he loved in 2020. On January 8, 2026, Erfan attended the protests in Borujerd with his wife and mother-in-law. After ensuring his wife was safe, he joined the protesters and was fatally shot between the eyebrows. Following several days of security pressure, his family was finally allowed to bury him and rejected false official claims about his death.
