Milad Nemati

From January 2, 2026 (12 Dey 1404) to January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404), Milad Nemati participated in the protests. On the night of January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404), he left his home with his friends and headed toward the Nazi Abad neighborhood in Tehran. According to friends who witnessed the events, Milad helped several people during the protests, including rescuing a number of women from security forces. As he was making his way toward Behesht Square in Nazi Abad, and later toward a Basij base, he was attacked from behind and shot in the neck by security forces. From January 8 to January 13, 2026 (18–23 Dey 1404), his family had no information about his whereabouts. Five days later, when his body was found in Kahrizak, it was returned to his family. After identifying the body of her late son, his mother was overwhelmed with grief and shock. As she rushed toward her family, she fell heavily to the ground, suffering fractures in three places in one arm and injuries to her face.
