Sanam was a vibrant, passionate, courageous, motivated, and sociable young woman with a gift for conversation. She had a playful side that could bring joy to any gathering and brighten the atmosphere around her. She worked tirelessly toward her goals and was always eager to discover new things, gain new experiences, and keep learning. Sanam was regarded as one of the finest musicians in Gilan and, among female musicians, as one of the province’s leading teachers of classical violin. She deeply loved animals, and that love led her to choose a vegetarian lifestyle. Whenever she could, she fed animals in need and was a devoted advocate for their welfare.

Life story
Sanam was a vibrant, passionate, courageous, motivated, and sociable young woman with a gift for conversation. Incident summary
On Thursday, 18 Dey 1404, Sanam was shot near Shahr-e Sabz Cinema and fell to the ground. She was taken to the nearest hospital, but due to severe bleeding and a critically low level of consciousness, she passed away the following morning, 19 Dey. On Sunday, 21 Dey, at 9:30 p.m., Sanam was laid to rest alongside her violin bow.

Sanam Pourbabaei was 26 years old. She held a bachelor’s degree in music and was a classical violinist and violin teacher. Originally from Siahkal, she lived in Lahijan. On her last birthday, 25 Khordad, Sanam spoke about the many dreams she still had. Among those dreams was freedom. She would say: “God, may we all be free...”
