Mehdi Ebadollahi
Mehdi Ebadollahi was born in 1989. Originally from Kurdistan Province, he had been living in Hamedan before moving to Tehran several years earlier for work. Mehdi had previously worked as a heavy truck driver and later became a sales manager at Pasargad Insurance in Tehran. Everyone remembered Mehdi for his laughter. Wherever he was, there was always humor, warmth, and joy. He often spoke with hope about a free Iran. On the night of 18 Dey, without hesitation, he joined his friends in the streets, hoping for freedom. He had shouted so much that by the following day, his voice was almost gone. On 19 Dey, he ate dinner quickly and told his friends, “This is the last night. We're going—for freedom.” He left that night, and he never returned.

Incident summary
On the night of 19 Dey, during the protests in the Tajrish neighborhood of Tehran, Mehdi was killed after being struck by three bullets to his shoulder, abdomen, and heart. He had also been severely beaten and had sustained injuries to his face and neck. Mehdi's body was found on 20 Dey in Kahrizak, among a large number of other bodies. On 22 Dey, under strict security measures and in the presence of only a few close family members, he was laid to rest at Bagh-e Behesht Cemetery in Hamedan.

He departed so that his name would never be erased from the face of the earth. He belonged more to the heavens than to the dust below.
